Appointments
 
We accept appointments to treat endocrine disorders such as diabetes, osteoporosis, thyroid, pituitary, and growth hormone disorders. If you do not fall into one of the above categories, please contact our office to see if we treat your specific diagnosis.

To schedule an appointment, please call us at (972) 566-7799. If you are a new patient, you will be asked for basic information about your medical condition to assure you receive the appropriate attention. We make reminder calls two business days in advance. If you will be unable to keep your appointment, we ask that you give us a 48 hour notice so that we can accommodate another patient.

When you arrive, you will need:

Relevant blood test or X-ray results
List of your current medications with dosages
Insurance card
Physician referral, if applicable
Financial Policies:
We participate in most major private insurance plans. Please be prepared to submit your co-payment at the time of the visit. We accept check, cash, Master Card, Visa, and Discover. Please understand that you will also be responsible for any deductibles, coinsurance or other costs not covered by your insurance.

We continue to see Medicare patients. For new patient consultations, a written referral is required from your physician. However, we are not “participating providers” with Medicare, which means that payment for the visit is requested at the time of service. We then file the charges with Medicare, which then reimburses the patient.

Prescriptions:
It is preferable that prescription refills be handled at the time of the office visit. We understand that this is not always possible. We will accept faxed refill requests from local or mail order pharmacies. You may also call the office and connect to the voice mail prescription line, leaving the appropriate pharmacy information. These requests are handled within one business day.

Emergencies (for established patients only)
Physician coverage for urgent issues is available 24 hours a day. After hours and on weekends, call (972) 566-8233 and ask the answering service to page the physician. If you have a dire emergency which you perceive to be life-threatening, please go to the nearest hospital emergency room or call 911.
